What needed to change
As digital learning expectations accelerated, a leading online learning provider wanted to use generative AI to deliver more personalized and engaging educational experiences for students and instructors. The business saw an opportunity to strengthen learning support while also improving the experience it offered across its platform
At the same time, leadership needed a secure platform where instructors and staff could experiment with tools similar to ChatGPT, try large language models, and build bots and agents without exposing company data. They also wanted to understand where intelligent automation could reduce routine work across academic and operational functions
How Iviju delivered
Iviju began the engagement with an AI native lighthouse so rapid prototyping and deployment stayed tied to student value and business priorities. From there we worked with the client to create a custom agentic AI framework with enterprise architecture patterns for agentic workflows and retrieval augmented generation. Powered by the provider’s proprietary content, the framework became the foundation for a private GPT platform that could return contextual search results, references, document summaries, and prompt driven guidance while keeping data private
On top of the platform, we developed several MVPs tied directly to the provider’s needs. These included a math tutor bot that guides students through the steps required to solve a problem instead of simply giving the answer, a student assistant that summarizes content and generates flashcards and study guides, an instructor assistant that checks textbook alignment with the syllabus and helps generate quizzes, and a human resources pilot that automated resume review and interview question generation in just four weeks
