Precision stamping and machining manufacturer Building a connected data platform that turns fragmented manufacturing data into a usable operational asset
Iviju partnered with a precision stamping and machining manufacturer to create a cloud based connected data platform that could connect quoting, production, tooling, inspection, and delivery data, support more consistent quality management, and give the business a stronger foundation for modernization

What needed to change
A precision stamping and machining manufacturer in the United States needed a better way to connect data across quoting, customer blueprints, shop floor production, tool and die work, inspection, testing, and shipping. Different systems handled different parts of the operation, making it difficult to maintain one trusted view of production and quality performance
The business needed to support dimensionally compliant parts, inspection and testing requirements, and on time delivery across aerospace and commercial work without forcing every function into the same workflow. The challenge was to create a flexible data exchange that could process and publish information across a dynamic manufacturing operation while respecting the distinct needs of machining, stamping, EDM wire cutting, and quality teams
How Iviju delivered
Iviju worked closely with the manufacturer’s internal technology team to build clarity around how the connected data platform needed to function and what business outcomes it had to support. We were careful to define the business objectives before the technical solution, then used Google Cloud as the foundation for a flexible platform that could prepare data for distribution between systems without becoming overly prescriptive or restrictive over time
The design centered on API based onboarding so operational teams could exchange data more easily and align around customer requirements, quality expectations, and delivery goals. We identified three core use cases for the connected data platform including event driven changes in production systems, system responses that request more information such as tooling or inspection data, and an analytics and reporting layer with visibility across manufacturing operations. From there we brought a diverse team across architecture, cloud, data, and integration engineering to design the required capabilities and map Google Cloud features to each need
Implementation specifics
- Defined the connected data platform as a central data exchange that could ingest process and publish information across quoting production quality and delivery workflows
- Designed API based onboarding so machining stamping tool and die and inspection teams could connect without forcing one rigid operating structure
- Built around three key use cases event changes in a production system system responses requesting more information and enterprise analytics and reporting
- Brought architecture cloud data and integration engineering expertise together to define the required platform capabilities
- Created a pilot to ingest process and publish ERP data from one operating area to validate the platform design and the delivery management system used to manage production data flows
- Implemented a second integration to a customer order and reporting workflow to validate pipeline effectiveness and prove scalability and stability for faster onboarding of future operational areas
- Adjusted the plan continuously for each operating function so benefits could be unlocked as integrations expanded
- Maintained a high trust delivery model with direct honest working sessions that kept focus on smarter cheaper and more effective execution
What changed after delivery
The connected data platform created measurable financial and operational value through better delivery management tracking, lower data quality effort, and the ability to modernize and retire older reporting workflows faster. As more operational areas connect to the new data exchange, each onboarding is expected to unlock additional savings and performance gains
Even though the broader platform program is still expanding, the foundational product is already in place and data is now available as a decoupled asset across multiple operational functions. One of the clearest early wins is a customer facing reporting module that now runs with minimal effort and overhead while giving the business a much more flexible path forward. With more workflows still to integrate, the platform now gives the manufacturer a simpler route to uncover business value through shared data exchange
- Modernization program accelerated by three years
- 80% savings in data quality effort
- 10% improvement in process execution
- Data available as a decoupled asset across multiple operational functions
- Customer facing reporting now requires minimal effort and overhead
- Scalable onboarding model in place for additional production workflows
